Quaccheri cristiani ecumenici per fare il bene

On this date in 1660 (June 1st), Mary Dyer was executed by hanging in ‪#‎Boston‬, Massachusetts. She was a ‪#‎Quaker‬ preacher, about 50 years old, one of several Quakers who repeatedly defied a Puritan law banning Quakers from Massachusetts Bay Colony. Some sources say her execution took place on Boston Common. Actually, it occurred in an area once known as Boston Neck, near the current intersection of West Dedham and Washington Streets.
