Happy birthday, Susan B. Anthony (Feb. 15, 1820 – March 13, 1906)!‪#‎Suffragist‬. ‪#‎Abolitionist‬. ‪#‎Quaker‬. ‪#‎Unitarian‬. ‪#‎Agnostic‬. Temperance activist. Co-founder in 1868 (with Elizabeth Cady Stanton) of “The Revolution,” a women’s rights newspaper. Co-founder in 1869 (also with Stanton) of the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA). Arrested in November 1872 for voting (illegally) in the presidential elections. She was fined $100, which she refused to pay. Never married. Susan had several intimate relationships with women, including Quaker feminist Anna Dickinson. Susan died in her home at 17 Madison Street, Rochester, NY, at the age of 86. Buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester.
